IceRobotics is a privately-owned product development company which was launched in 2002 to pioneer new automation technologies and management systems for use in dairy farming.

The company specialises in remote monitoring and decision support systems based on advanced vision sensors and accelerometer-based motion sensors. Its engineering expertise includes electronic sensor design and manufacture, statistical data analysis, and software development.

IceRobotics is a recognised world leader in the application of new sensor technologies for monitoring and improving animal health and welfare. In June 2009 it received a “SMART” innovation award from the Scottish government.

IceRobotics is the coordinator of the "OptiScore" project, an EU Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnership for the Transfer of Knowledge.
