IceRobotics is the trading name of IceRobotics Ltd, a company formed to continue the sensor developments of Ice Robotics Limited following the asset sale of one of its vision sensor systems to an OEM client.

IceRobotics is a privately-owned company which was originally launched in 2002. Its initial mandate was to develop a dairy farm robot based on combining a novel robotics actuator with an advanced machine vision platform. Since 2005 it has concentrated on the development of sensor technologies and has created a number of advanced sensor platforms for 3D motion control and monitoring, including vision sensors and accelerometer-based pedometers.

Whilst its goal is to create new advanced sensor systems for the commercial livestock farmer, it also provides earlier releases of its technologies to animal science institutions to facilitate leading edge research into animal health and welfare issues.
