Marketing Assistant, Edinburgh

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant with an eye for detail and excellent organisational and communications skills to join our growing and friendly team.

The role is varied but major aspects include:

  • Planning and project managing attendance at trade shows and other events
  • Day to day management of our social media platforms and growing our online presence
  • Developing our website
  • Helping develop print and digital marketing materials
  • Liaison with customers and suppliers
  • Contributing to International and UK marketing strategy development
  • Budget management
  • Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activities

As well as a Degree in Marketing or a related business discipline (or equivalent experience), you will need to have good project management and analytical skills. You should also be familiar with tools for managing social media, e-newsletters and website CMS.

Experience of dairy farming would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided. We work in over 25 countries around the world, so additional language skills are always welcome.

Bookkeeper, Edinburgh

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Bookkeeper who can maintain excellent record keeping and reporting as part of our financial management.

Major aspects of the role include:

  • Assisting with management accounts
  • Processing month end journals
  • VAT & ECSL returns
  • Bank postings & reconciliations
  • Purchase ledger
  • Sales ledger
  • Employee expenses
  • Monthly payroll
  • Managing customer returns process
  • Extracting data from CRM and other spreadsheet-based systems to support sales team
  • Ad hoc duties

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, supporting both the Financial Controller and Sales Team. They will quickly be able to gain a strong knowledge of our systems and processes to enable them to contribute to our ongoing development. This position would ideally suit someone who understands operating within an SME environment requires a ‘roll the sleeves up’ attitude and is happy to get involved in duties from top to bottom in finance.

The person we are looking for must:

  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to deal with people at different levels, both internally and externally;
  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills with the ability to write letters and documents if required;
  • Have a sound working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel;
  • Be able to work diligently, alone if necessary, and be able to take responsibility for a wide variety of situations as they arise;
  • Be able to work accurately to deadlines;
  • Understand the need for complete confidentiality in some aspects of the role

A working knowledge of SAP and Payroo would also be an advantage.

The position of Bookkeeper is a full time, permanent role, offering a salary of £25,000 with pension and private healthcare benefits. This position is one which will grow with responsibility as the company grows.
