The ability to create comprehensive and objective data sets has in the past been limited by the availability and skills of human observers. Automated recording of precise second-by-second activity data now provides the researcher with virtually unlimited scope to monitor behaviour, whilst freeing the researcher’s time to concentrate on analysis and interpretation.
