IceRobotics has signed a five-year contract to supply CowAlert to one of the largest dairy groups in North America. This follows two years of commercial trials supported by the IceRobotics team, both in the US and in Scotland.

The deal, which will see the latest CowAlert technology applied to 11,000 cows is the biggest deal in the company’s history.

This is the culmination of 3 years’ investment in the North American market. It is the most significant endorsement yet of the CowAlert system and our next generation sensor which has now been on farms for over two years.

To capitalise on the opportunities that are in the US and recruit more US-based staff, IceRobotics is currently seeking venture capital. The invitation to invest is open to anyone, and more information can be found on the crowdfunding platform where the starting price to purchase shares is just £13.

So what does this American deal mean for existing CowAlert users? We have been working towards closing this deal for some time and have prepared our product supply chain accordingly.

With more capital on its way – from the US sale and from crowdfunding – we will be expanding our sales force in the USA and in the UK, and also strengthening our technical and customer services support across both markets.

2021 is proving a very busy year for Icerobotics: we are preparing for an official launch of our latest sensor together with enhancements to CowAlert’s functionality at UK Dairy Day in Telford, in September.
