Peacock Technology acquires IceRobotics to expand offering to dairy sector
Peacock Technology, the advanced engineering and robotic automation company, has completed the acquisition of IceRobotics, specialists in data collection and analysis for the dairy industry, as part of its strategy to develop and expand its suite of dairy and farming products and services.
This deal fits with Peacock’s strategy to create the UK’s leading provider of intelligent dairy solutions, combining experience in robotics and artificial intelligence to deliver cutting-edge technologies for the agricultural sector. The expanded company aims to help food producers to improve efficiency by reducing their labour costs, while improving long-term food sustainability and animal welfare.
Following the deal, Peacock will have a strengthened depth of expertise with over 30 qualified engineers and experienced developers, providing an improved network of support to existing and new customers across the UK and globally. The company can now offer a range of complementary products and is well-placed to develop and provide new intelligent solutions (including vision-based insights) for the dairy sector, and beyond. The company will be known as Peacock Technology Limited and will have its headquarters in Stirling, Scotland.
